So here we are in a world where the plagues of Egypt aren't just Sunday school stories but are leaping off the pages into our X feeds. “Trans activists” in their infinite wisdom, have decided to turn biblical on us by unleashing insects into the fray at the LGB Alliance conference. Now if that ain't a sign of the times, I don't know what is.
This stunt was straight out of the Old Testament playbook. You've got your locusts and your divine interventions but here we are, not in ancient Egypt but in the middle of a conference meant to focus on love and rights. What's the symbolism here?
Back in the day locusts were the wrath of God, a symbol of destruction and divine judgment. They'd sweep in and leave nothing but desolation, a pretty clear message from above saying "You've royally screwed up." So what's the message now? Are these “trans activists” casting themselves as modern-day prophets, declaring judgment on those gathered at the LGB conference? If so it's a bold statement wrapped in a biblical metaphor, suggesting that dissent from their view isn't just wrong but divinely punishable.
Now I've been called a TERF, been de-platformed, had my gigs pulled and faced the modern inquisition for speaking my mind. But let me tell you this act of insect warfare? It's poetic in a twisted, apocalyptic sort of way. It's activism taking a leaf out of the most dramatic book there is – the Bible. Yet it's steeped in irony because here they are, using fear and chaos against a group advocating for gay, lesbian and bisexual rights - it's fundamentally homophobic in its execution.
But here's where I stand: This isn't just about insects or biblical plagues it's about speech, freedom and the right to disagree.
They call for diversity but unleash conformity with the sting of a thousand bees. They speak of love but deliver it with the chaos of locusts. It's as old as time – using fear and spectacle to silence and to judge. And in this case, it's particularly poignant because it's aimed at silencing gay, lesbian and bisexual voices making it not just a protest but an act of homophobia.
So let's cut through the biblical bullshit. If you're gonna come at those you disagree with then do it with words, with debate, fact, reason and not with the ten plagues. Because at the end of the day we're not in Egypt, and we're not in the business of divine wrath. We're here to talk, to argue and to maybe somehow even understand each other even in disagreement. But if you're bringing insects into this, well you've just lost the plot.
Now it seems we're all just waiting for the next plague to drop. But here's a thought – maybe they should aim for a conversation that doesn't need a biblical disaster to get its point across.
Stay loud, stay free and for fuck sake keep the bugs out of it. And remember, attacking a conference for gay, lesbian and bisexual rights with such a display isn't progress it's regress wrapped in a spectacle.

If you ever want a new career, then writing columns like this is definitely the way. Great writing, 100% agreed. All the real hate snd violence is from the left.
